Veteran Health Insurance

We Proudly Serve Our Veterans!

When it comes to healthcare, the VA clinic or hospital automatically comes to mind, right?

But did you know that even if you receive medical services through the VA, you can STILL apply for and receive Medicare coverage?

YES! MEDICARE PLANS WORK IN ADDITION TO VA COVERAGE!

Why Is It Important to Enroll in Medicare?

It's still important to enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B if you're eligible, even if you receive care at the VA:

1

You're enrolled in one of the VA's lower priority groups and could potentially lose your benefits.

2

A local VA facility isn't easily accessible based on where you live.

3

You have the OPTION to use local doctors and hospitals. Want a second opinion? Go for it. Need urgent surgery ASAP? Get it done through a large nationwide network of private doctors and hospitals.

Let's Talk Cost…

Medicare Part A comes at $0 cost for those who have worked enough quarters paying into Social Security.

Medicare Part B has a monthly premium based on income. The standard premium is $202.90 per month for 2026.

If your total income is below a certain amount for your state, you could qualify to have your state pay your Part B premium. It's called the Medicare Savings Program.

Here at Advocate Insurance Group, we go the extra mile and help you complete an online application to see if you qualify. The worst thing that could happen is they say no… right?

After you enroll in Medicare Parts A and B and determine your eligibility for a Medicare Savings Program, the final step is deciding between a Supplement (Medigap) policy or an Advantage Plan (Part C).
